If you are unable to attend this showing, or tickets sell out before you can join us in the box, the circus is running from April 10th through the 13th with up multiple show times per day.  The General Admission tickets are $15.  Contact the Moslem Shrine directly for more information (248-569-2900).

Annual Valentine's Dance

Detroit Lodge No. 2 is proud to announce the plans for its annual Valentines Day Dance.  The event is to be held in the always elegant Crystal Ballroom for the Detroit Masonic Temple on February 9th, 2008.

This year’s dance is themed with attendees encouraged to dress in the attire appropriate for "their era", whether that is the 50's/60's/70's through today.  A DJ will be on hand accepting requests for everything from Benny Goodman to Kid Rock.

Doors will open at 6:30 PM, with food served at 7:00 and entertainment starting before 7:30.  Cost will be $10 a person, with RSVP's required to the Junior Warden.

DLN2 Web 2.0!

We are pleased to announce the release of version 2.0 of the Detroit Lodge No. 2 Website!

We apologize for the delay in bringing the website back online.  Considerable upgrades to the software used to organize and provide the data on the Detroit Lodge No. 2 website  have required some time to complete.  Some changes were necessary security updates, some functional enhancements and others cosmetic changes.  Hopefully, the updated version of the website will make it worth it.

We now have a Forum/Message Board feature, the ability to RSVP online, and the ability to further differentiate the levels of access users receive.  This new level of security will allow us shortly to open registeration for the website to non Detroit Lodge No. 2 members while ensuring we retain the ability to post notices and announcements intended for specific audiences.

As previously mentioned, much of the work was 'behind the scenes' type activities, and a small about of that remains.  So please, if you notice anything odd while using the site please feel free to inform the webmaster.

With that, thank you for your understanding and please share any feedback!

Forums / Message Boards

We are excited to announce that the Detroit Lodge No. 2 now features Forums, also known as Message Boards.  Currently there are only a few areas within the forums to post.  As our website membership grows and we get an idea for how active the forums will become, or as suggestions for additional themed areas are made, the forums may grow.   Early on however a decision was made to keep the boards simple and small until that growth is logical.

The forums section is available for all to see, including guests.  However you do need to be a registered member of the website to post.  Also, depending on your account status as a Freemason, or a Detroit Lodge No. 2 member you may or may not see certain sections of the forums.  Despite this, please remember this is a public website owned and operated by Detroit Lodge No. 2.  If you choose to partipate in the discussions on the Forums section, please keep the conversations respectable, both in choices of language and topics and remember they are a "public area" and not a tiled lodge room. ;)

Photos

Hello!  As part of the updates the website has recently undergone the Photo Gallery software was always updated.  Unfortunately, despite the (long overdue!) addition of some pictures provided by Br. Dennis Spiteri (which he in turn received from a number of sources), we still are somewhat short on photos to share with our friends and families.

If you have any photos of Detroit Lodge No. 2 events that would like to share on our website, please contact the webmaster to arrange it.  Thanks!
